Funny story how the Red Garden Shovel came about.  As the creators we are also avid gold prospectors, metal detectorists, and of course gardening enthusiasts. Our parent company, High Plains Prospectors, is located in Kansas City.  From here we sell a lot of digging tools. Having years of experience with heavy duty tools made for digging in extremely harsh environments, we were used to hauling around heavy duty, bulky, mining tools.  Tools that are a bit cumbersome for gardening. 

We have done a lot of digging in our lifetimes and know what type of tool is needed for each location.  We saw a need for a shovel that was light weight yet sturdy enough for the rigors of every day gardening.  So we designed the sturdy and lightweight Red Garden Shovel to get the job done quickly and effectively without straining to do it.  Our goal is to give you the best quality for the best price.  That is how the Red Garden Shovel story began.
